Social Networks and Language Teaching #dfsoclt

This is a 2-hour collaborative session to analyse the potential of social networks and their use in language teaching.

The massive use of social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flicker, etc, has generated a lot of potential as pedagogical tools. In this session, participants will critically analyse and discuss the pros and cons of using these technologies in language learning, and explore some “examples of good practice” by language teachers. Finally, the fun bit is where we’ll design a digital task using a social network!

This session is catered for 30 participants; more are welcome! If physical presence is unachievable, tweet your experience and ideas to @ucldigifest using #dfsoclt

About the session host

Juan Fernández is a language tutor at UCL Centre for Languages and International Education.
